Breakfast Gumbo 

What you’ll need: 

4 sausage patties 
1/2 lb Conecuh sausage 
bacon 
eggs
cheese grits 
for topping: shredded cheese + green onions 

How to make Breakfast Gumbo:

  1. Cook the sausage patties in a skillet until browned. Once done, chop into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Slice and cook the Conecuh sausage in the same skillet until nicely browned.

  3. Cook the bacon until crispy, then chop into small pieces.

  4. Scramble the eggs and set aside.

  5. Prepare the cheese grits according to package instructions (we used instant grits for convenience).

  6. Assemble the bowls by layering grits, scrambled eggs, chopped sausages, and bacon.

  7. Finish with shredded cheese and sliced green onions on top. Makes about 4 servings.
