One Pot Meat and Potatoes Skillet
What you’ll need:
1 lb ground beef
20 red and gold small potatoes, thinly sliced
6 slices bacon
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
2 cups skim milk
2 cup shredded cheese
1 tbsp dry mustard
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
green onion (optional)
How to make One Pot Meat and Potatoes Skillet :
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cook the bacon in a skillet (at least 12 in skillet - oven safe) - when done transfer bacon to plate to cool and crumble for later
Drain majority of bacon grease and place ground beef in skillet. Add dry mustard, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Stir in well. When beef is close to done add Worcestershire and mix in well. Cook until no pink remains and turn off heat.
Push ground beef to one side of skillet and place sliced potatoes on the bottom of skillet. Cover with beef and place more potatoes on other side to cover bottom completely with potatoes. Even meat out over potatoes layering and add more potatoes on top.
Add the milk and cover with the shredded cheese
Bake 40-50 minutes or unitl very little liquid remains, cheese begins to bubble and potatoes brown slightly on the edges.
Top with crumbed bacon (add green onion - optional) let cool and serve.
